Meghalaya Assembly’s Newly Constructed Dome Collapses
Shillong: Newly developed vault of the new Meghalaya Assembly working at Mawdiangdiang fell on Sunday. Luckily, nobody was harmed as the as of late built vault imploded at 12 PM. According to reports, the structure has been developed by Uttar Pradesh-based Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Ltd, and the complete expense is Rs 127 crore. Addressing media over the equivalent, an Executive Engineer of PWD (Building) said that the vault collapseddue to its plan.
He further said that it would require an additional fourteen days to clear the garbage while it will require basically an additional 8 months to raise another arch construction. Allegedly, the plan of the whole structure was supported by IIT-Rourkee’s authorities. The development work on the new gathering building began in June 2019 and was planned to be finished by August 2022.
