Tura: 3 Bandits arrested, Police have arrested three suspected robbers with arms and ammunition in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills district, officials said on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team from West Garo Hills district swung into action in the Nikikona village area under Phulbari police station late on Friday night and arrested three dacoits.
West Garo Hills District SP Vivekanand Singh Rathore said the operation was launched based on a tip-off.

“We arrested three criminals and recovered from their possession one pistol, one magazine, three ammunitions, one motorcycle with registration number ML-08G-4295, one scooter without registration number, two mobile phones, two SIM cards. have done”. Rathore said.

The arrested persons have been identified as 30-year-old Salman R. Mark, 24-year-old Ilyas Alam and 22-year-old Nur Hussain.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is underway, said a senior police official.
