Manipur: A group of protesters from Manipur’s tribal community living in Westminster, London staged a peaceful demonstration in front of the statue of Field Marshal William Slim on June 17 against the ethnic violence against the local tribal community of Manipur.
A group of protesters carrying placards and banners with pictures of people killed during communal violence in Manipur demanded President’s rule in the state as the state continues to be mired in internal strife.
