Manipur: Nimanhui Khongsai won the title of Miss Pineapple Queen 2022
Imphal: Nemnunhoi Khongsai has won the title of Miss Pineapple Queen 2022 in a beauty pageant organized as a part of Pineapple Festival in Manipur.
Nemnunhoi hails from Lhungtin village in Saikul, Kangpokpi district of Manipur.
The two-day fair was hosted at Bunglon village, 45 km southwest of Imphal in Churachandpur.
The first runner-up and second runner-up titles of the beauty pageant went to Nengjaikim Byte and Eringbam Pinky Devi respectively.
Six sub-titles were also given to Chinmuankim Simte (Best Personality), Florence Wifi (Best Model), Rachel Kum (Best Costume), Dina Kapgan (Best Pineapple Promoter), Elise Chineihing Lahangal (Best Designer) and Hoilenkim Touthang (Best Slogan Maker).
The first three title winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000, while the sub-title holders were also awarded a cash prize of Rs 7,000.
A total of 14 contestants from different parts of the state participated in the beauty pageant organized to popularize pineapple cultivation in the state.
During the closing day of the fair on Saturday, MLAS Kibi Devi (Nuria Pakhangba), Tha Shanti (Moering), Litzmang Hokip (Hanglep) and Kumnyu Hengsheng (Sykol) besides some senior government officials were present.
