Manipur: CM Brain inaugurates Flybig flight from Imphal to Tezu.

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday inaugurated the Flybig flight from Imphal to Tezu at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Biren Singh said that under the UDAN scheme, the state will be connected with Arunachal Pradesh through fly-bug flights. The flight will direct to Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh and then Guwahati. The Chief Minister further said that with such an initiative, the contacts between the people of North-Eastern States will be closer.
He continued that this will not only increase people-to-people contacts but also boost business and tourism.

Regarding the Imphal to Bangkok flight service, the Chief Minister said that Imphal to Bangkok via Guwahati will start its operation soon. However, a direct flight from Imphal to Bangkok is still under consideration.

Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam and Transport Minister Khashim Vashum also attended the inaugural programme.
Earlier, the Chief Minister also inaugurated Hotel Amolesh on Old Lambulen Road in Imphal West in the presence of Minister of Works Govindas Konthujam and former Minister Okram Henry Singh.

Addressing the gathering, CM Brain Singh said that a politician should always work tirelessly to provide quality life to people, protect human rights and make arrangements for his people to be self-sufficient in their profession.

“Continuing that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the state government is making all efforts to bring about change in the state, the chief minister said that an institute of hotel management has been opened recently. The government has provided about 2,000 IT training was also provided to the youth, out of which around 1,000 youths have got jobs in this sector.
