Manipur: CKLA Freedom Fighter arrested in Chorachandpur

Guwahati: A team of army and police has arrested a militant leader of Chin Kuki Liberation Army (CKLA) from Churachandpur in Manipur.

The accused was arrested by a joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police.

During the operation, the police recovered a nine mm pistol and 11 live ammunition from his possession.
The arrested militant has been identified as Hemkhothang Baite (46).

The accused has been handed over to the police.
The Indian Army tweeted, “In a joint operation with @manipur_police, #IGARSouth under @Spearcorps killed a 9mm pistol and 11 live insurgents of banned group CKLA in Churachandpur district on November 11. Arrested with rounds. Cadre and recovery handed over. Police.”
