Manipur: Brain Singh expands cabinet, six more ministers take oath.

Imphal: Six new ministers joined the BJP-led government in Manipur on Saturday as Chief Minister N Baron Singh expanded his cabinet after returning to power last month.
The new cabinet ministers include BJP legislators Latpao Haokp (Tengnoupal), Sapam Ranjan Singh (Konthoujam), Thounaojam Basanta Singh (Nambol), L Susindro Mati (Khorai) and H Dingo Singh (Sekmai) and NPF’s Changai. KMLA is Khasim Vashum.
He was administered the oath of office by Governor La Ganesanat Raj Bhavan in Imphal.
However, their departments are yet to be announced.
At the same time, the number of cabinet members increased to 12-10 from BJP and two from NPF.
Singh and five of his associates were sworn in as ministers on March 21 when the BJP won the northeastern state for the second consecutive term.
In the recent Assembly elections, the BJP has won 32 seats, while the NPF has won five seats. The Baran Singh government has the support of the National People’s Party (NPP), the JD (U), the Cookie People’s Alliance (KPA) and independent MLAs in the Assembly.
