Manipur: 5 Myanmar nationals arrested from Churachandpur
CM Biren Singh said that an FIR has been registered under section 14 of the Foreigners Act for further investigation.
Imphal: Five Myanmar nationals, including a lady, were captured in Manipur for unlawful interruption, police said on Wednesday.
Following up on intel inputs, the captures were made on Tuesday night from Ngathal Town in the Churachandpur locale.
As per boss clergyman N Biren Singh, in light of solid data in regards to the presence of Myanmar nationals in the Ngathal Town region in Churachandpur locale, a group from the Churachandpur police headquarters directed a hunt.
“During the pursuit, five Myanmar nationals, including one lady, were found remaining unlawfully in the state. They couldn’t create any archives of character and citizenship, along these lines were captured subsequent to seeing due customs,” CM Biren said.
As indicated by CM, a FIR has been enlisted under segment 14 of the Outsiders Act and further examination is progressing.
Recently, Manipur police captured something like 80 Myanmar nationals, including ladies and kids, who were wrongfully remaining in the Churachandpur region. The majority of them were tracked down in two leased facilities.
