Guwahati: President of India Droupadi Murmu on Sunday appointed Lt. Gen. Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik (Retd) as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.
He replaced Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.), who has now been appointed as the Governor of Ladakh.
Lt Gen Parnaik (R) served as the Commander of the Army’s prestigious Northern Command.
Apart from the new appointments, the President also reshuffled Chhattisgarh Governor Sushri Anusuiya Uikye to take over the charge of Manipur Governor. Manipur Governor La Ganesan has been appointed as the Governor of Nagaland.
“The above appointments will be effective from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices,” an official communication from the office of the President said.
