KYKL impose ban on Khongjom’s Slopeland Public School

Imphal: Prohibited Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) has announced that Slopeland Public School, Khongjom has been permanently banned from the current academic session due to anti-revolutionary views and opposition to revolutionary principles by the school authority.
Announcing this in a statement, KYKL said appropriate action would be initiated to make the ban effective.
However, the ongoing examinations will be exempted from the ambit of the ban as the students are from the previous academic year, KYKL said in a statement issued by its Publicity and Research Secretary A Yaiphaba.
The secretary warned that there should be no new admissions in the school and classes should not continue.

It also said that all school employees, including teachers and non-teaching staff, should stop attending the school.
The school should not be mortgaged or sold during the interim period and both parties will be punished equally for such immoral acts, the statement said, adding that students who want to transfer to other schools should contact the school administration. has been notified to obtain the transfer certificate immediately. .
According to KYKL’s statement, the organization sent a notice on September 30, 2022 informing Slopeland Public School to pay fines and annual taxes due to the party, which the school had been ignoring for years.

The notification warns the school authority that if the tax is not paid on time, it will be closed from the next academic year.

Similar to previous years, the school authority flouted the notice which KYKL considers to be an outright insult against the organization.
To entice students to enroll in the school for the next academic session, the school authority claimed that KYKL and the school authority were going to resolve the issue while falsely telling others that the dispute had already been resolved.

There is no way KYKL will ignore this challenge and it will be seen as a serious threat to the ongoing national liberation movement in Kangleipak, the KYKL statement said.
