Tengnoupal: The Kuki Inpi Tengnoupal (KIT) has termed the FIR against Muan Tombing, general secretary of Indigenous Tribal Leaders’ Forum as baseless and unwarranted in a press release issued on Tuesday.
Kuki Inpi Tengnoupal (KIT) said the charges of sedition and conspiracy leveled against Muan Tombing is “totally baseless and unwarranted and must be withdrawn immediately or the Manipur Killing Engine government under N Biren Singh should be held accountable for all consequences.”
The Kuki Inipi Tengnoupal in this regard has expressed strong dissatisfaction and condemnation against the filing of FIR against Muan Tombing by Churachandpur Police Station OC, N Thangzamuan who himself is a Kuki-Zo on November 18, 2023.
Calling out the Indian government’s “rigid support” towards the chief minister of Manipur, terming it the “N Biren Singh led Taliban style government of Manipur — systematic carrying out of ethnic cleansing and bloodshed on the Kuki-Zo tribes by the state of Manipur.

KIT said it is deeply painful and horrifying on the part of the Union government for “allowing the sons and daughters of the Kuki-Zo bravehearts who led and fought alongside Netaji against the British colonial power and played a pivotal role in the national freedom movement to be tortured, raped and beheaded publicly.”
Further, the KIT maintained that the words expressed by the general secretary of ITLF, Muan Tombing is neither his mere opinion nor ITLF’s, but the voice of the suppressed Kuki-Zo Indians.
“It is the voice of those who are desperately longing for equality, human rights, and self determination seeking a piece of justice within the purview of Indian Constitution which they have been deliberately deprived of after 76 years of the so called INDIA’S INPEPENDENCE,” KIT stated.
