Jagdeep Dhankhar Vice President to visit Manipur on 3 May

Imphal: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is scheduled to arrive here on Wednesday on a one-day visit during which he will attend programs at two universities, officials said.

He said that Dhankhar is likely to participate in an interaction program with students and teachers of Dhanamanjuri University, and later plant a tree in the campus.
He will then visit Manipur University, where he will interact with faculty members and scientists from various institutions, an official said.
“The Vice President is also expected to meet the national awardees of handlooms and handicrafts/GI tagged products of the state,” the official said.

Security has been beefed up in the state capital ahead of Dhankhar’s visit, a police officer said.
