Inside Lucknow court UP gangster Sanjeev Jeeva killed by unkown

LUCKNOW: In a shocking incident that took place on the Lucknow Civil Court premises, dreaded gangster Sanjeev Jeeva was shot dead by unknown assailants on Wednesday.

The brazen attack took place inside the court building resulting in the instant death of Jeeva and injuries to a young girl.
Sanjeev Jeeva, known for his criminal activities, was closely associated with gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari.
He was also a co-accused in the murder case of BJP MLA Brahmhadatt Dwivedi, in which Ansari is also implicated.

Jeeva was brought to a court in Lucknow for hearing a criminal case when assailants disguised as lawyers entered the court premises and opened fire.
In the chaos that followed, Jeeva was shot dead by the assailants, while a young girl at the scene was injured.
The identity of the assailants is still unknown as they managed to flee from the spot and left Jeeva lying in a pool of blood.

A police constable was also injured during the riot and was later shifted to Lucknow Civil Hospital for medical treatment.

Security has been tightened to prevent any further untoward incident.
