In Guwahati a man killed his wife with a knife
Guwahati: A woman was found dead in a hotel room in Assam’s Paltan Bazar area of Guwahati on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening when the lifeless body of a woman was found in room number 114 on the first floor of Hotel Trimurti International in Paltan Bazar.
According to sources, the deceased woman has been identified as Jinthi Bayan Choudhary, a resident of Ambarihaat in Barpeta.
Jinthi had reportedly booked the room two days earlier, and her body was found under mysterious circumstances.
Paltan Bazar Police has reached the spot and started investigating the matter and investigation is on.
It is not yet clear whether the incident was a murder or an accident, but the police are conducting a thorough investigation.
It was also not known that the room she had booked was shared by someone else.
