NEW DELHI: Following the face-off between Indian and Chinese troops in the Tawang sector of the LAC, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has reportedly been deployed to prevent airspace violations by China over Arunachal Pradesh. War is on patrol.

According to reports, the IAF has detected an increase in Chinese aerial activity across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh.
An encounter between Indian and Chinese troops took place near the Yangtze in Tawang sector on December 9, resulting in injuries to soldiers from both sides.
According to sources, the Chinese troops crossed the LAC, which was countered by the Indian troops in a “strong and determined manner”.
“A few personnel from both sides suffered minor injuries” and both sides “immediately disengaged from the area,” the source said.
At least six injured Indian soldiers were rushed to the Army Hospital in Guwahati for treatment.
Later, the face-to-face issue was resolved after talks between the commanders of the two sides as per the agreed protocol.
The government said that as a follow-up to the incident, the Indian commander held a flag meeting with his Chinese counterpart to comply with the “structured mechanism for the restoration of peace and tranquility”.
