Kohima: On the eve of polling for the Lok Sabha elections in Nagaland, the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) announced an indefinite complete bandh in the Eastern Nagaland region.
The indefinite curfew called by ENPO in Eastern Nagaland region will be effective from 6:00 PM on Thursday (April 18).
In response to the government’s perceived failure to fulfill its commitments on the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue, ENPO, along with other tribal organizations, the Eastern Nagaland Women’s Organization (ENWO), and the Eastern Nagaland Students Federation (ENSF) appealed to the Eastern Nagaland Legislative Union (ENLU) and the public to respect their decision and refrain from voting in the Lok Sabha elections.
More details are awaited.
