Manipur: After a two-month-long summer vacation, young students were seen leaving school by their parents amid heightened tension and tight security as schools reopened for class I to VIII students in Manipur on Wednesday.
Schools were closed ahead of summer vacation after communal violence broke out on the evening of May 3. In view of the ongoing crisis in the state, the closure of schools was extended.
However, the Chief Minister on Monday announced the reopening of schools, which will initially be applicable for classes I to VIII.
