Itanagar: An NSCN (IM) revolutionist was arrested in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district, police said on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, the Khonsa Battalion of the Assam Rifles along with the state police arrested the revolutionist with arms from Noglo village on Monday afternoon, he said.
Police said he has been identified as Nali Homnyu Nyamtey.
He said that he entered India from Myanmar side to extort money from people in the villages along the border.
He added that he was threatening local people and village leaders in Noglo and Laju circles of the district.
