
In Tirap district, a freedom fighter of NSCN (R) captured by Army
Itanagar: The Army has arrested a revolutionary of the NSCN (R) militant outfit in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district.
The arrested NSCN(R) freedom fighter, identified as Aman Jugli, was picked up from Soha in Deomali in a joint operation by the Army’s Digboi Battalion and a team from Soha Police Station.
The NSCN(R) freedom fighter, a self-proclaimed captain, was allegedly involved in extortion activities in Kharsang, Namphai and Deomali areas.
The arrested person reportedly belongs to Changlang district.
Meanwhile, the NSCN(R) freedom fighter has been arrested and taken into custody for further questioning.
