Imphal: A mega public rally against illegal immigrants in Manipur and against the immediate implementation of National Register of Citizens (NRC) was held in Imphal Valley on Saturday with thousands of Meitei/Meiteis along NH-102. It was done in Thoubal Haokha.

The Kuki National Organization (KNO) and the United People’s Front (UPF), two umbrella groups of Kuki militants, signed a tripartite SOU agreement with the governments of India and Manipur on 22 August 2008.
