In suspected fire attack 10 houses burnt and demolished

Karimganj: 10 houses were demolished due to a huge fire in an area of ​​Karimganj district of Assam. The incident was reported from Patel Nagar area on Wednesday night.
Sources said that the cause of the fire is suspected, adding that the exact cause is yet to be ascertained.

Sources further said that goods worth lakhs were burnt due to the fire.
Fire tenders were immediately informed about the incident who reached the spot and successfully brought the unprecedented fire under control before it spread further.

Earlier yesterday, a massive fire broke out at Jamuna Road Chariali in Assam’s Sivasagar, resulting in the death of a child, while his mother sustained burn injuries.
The incident took place when an excavator was digging a drain, as a result of which a fire broke out in a gas pipe. The driver of the excavator abandoned the machine and fled from the spot due to which the fire spread rapidly. The incident caused chaos and destruction in the area.
As a result of the fire, two nearby houses were gutted and a woman and her child were injured due to burns. The victims were rushed to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh. However, it was too late and the child could not be saved.

Meanwhile, the condition of the mother of the deceased child is still critical.
