Shillong: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held a rally in Meghalaya’s Shillong city on Sunday (April 23).
More than 300 RSS members from East Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya participated in the rally in Shillong city.
The RSS Rally – Path Sanchalan – started from Hindi Balika Vidyalaya to Gurkha Pathshala Ground in Gadikhana via Police Bazar in Meghalaya.
The rally was part of preparations by the RSS for the organisation’s centenary celebrations to be held in 2025.
The RSS rally in Shillong started at around 8:30 am and ended at 11:00 am.
In Meghalaya, leading RSS members participated in the rally.
The deputy commissioner of Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district had earlier directed the organizers to ensure that “no inflammatory slogans” against any particular community are raised by any of the participants.
