In riot-hit Manipur massive combing operation launched by Army

Manipur: Following the recent uptick in violence, the Army and Assam Rifles launched a massive combing operation in high-altitude areas around Imphal Valley along with dangerous flashpoints.
Spear Corps, the Indian Army tweeted on Saturday that the Army and Assam Rifles had launched multiple search operations in the morning of May 27 in Kangchuk, Motbing, Saikol, Pukhao and Sagolmang areas of Manipur to trace any armed insurgents.
He also posted that these operations are part of the overall ongoing efforts of the Army and Assam Rifles to restore peace and normalcy in the state. Army columns are operating in forested hilly areas using the latest technology weapons, equipment and other forces.
