In relief camp displaced VDF personnel dies

Imphal: In a tragic incident, a VDF personnel who fled Mora when the clashes broke out and was taking shelter in a relief camp opened in Wangjing, died on Sunday after battling a prolonged illness.
The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Mayanglambam Inao Singh, son of late Thomba, resident of Mora Ward No. VIII, Bazar Leikai.

According to sources, Inao was staying at a relief camp opened by the Social and Cultural Development Center (SOCDEC) at the Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex.
Inao was cremated by SOCDEC in Wangjing. SOCDEC members also observed a condolence function led by its President Thongam Rojen Singh and prayed for the departed soul to rest in heaven.
