
In Pathsala, Assam fourty people ill after consuming 'Prasad'
Pathsala: At least 40 people have fallen ill after eating ‘prasad’ at a religious function at a house in Pathsala in Assam’s Barpeta district.
According to sources, there were many people attending a religious function on Monday and they were offered gram and sprouts, after which they complained of ill health on reaching their residence.
The incident took place at Rupnagar Namghar in Pathsala where people suspect that it is the cause of food poisoning.
Many people started to experience diarrhea and vomiting and after that all the affected people were taken to the nearest hospital for medical attention.
Earlier on September 19, several people fell ill after eating ‘prasad’ at Vishwakarma Puja in Dhakuakhana, Assam. More than 100 people were admitted to the hospital in the incident.
The recent incident has created a lot of concern among the locals as they are eagerly waiting to know more about the cause of the incident.
