Guwahati: A youth leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Assam’s Nagaon has accused BJP workers of attacking them.
The man, identified as Rashid Kakoti Rose, claimed that he was allegedly attacked by a group of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Sunday.
Rose said he was attacked for allegedly “campaigning” in support of AAP in Lakhinagar Chariali.
He shared pictures of his injuries on social media, blaming the BJP for the attack.
Rose lodged a complaint against the accused at Haibargaon Town Police Station.
He claimed that one of the men who attacked him was identified as Mintu Hazarika.
Police sources said that they have received a complaint and are investigating the matter.
They are trying to verify the allegations as well as identify all those involved in the alleged incident.
