Guwahati: Two persons were arrested in Assam’s Nagaon district with drugs worth over Rs 9 crore, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday.
He said that the seizure was made from a vehicle in Jakhlabandha area.
“In a major bust, @nagaon police intercepted a vehicle near Jakhalabandha and seized 18.270 kg of morphine (approx Rs 9.13 crore) hidden in its secret chamber. Two accused have been arrested,” Sarma tweeted.
