In Moreh town police held three Myanmar nationals in theft case

Imphal: A team of the Special Commando, Manipur Police arrested three Myanmar nationals under suspicious circumstances on October 22 as tensions flared in and around Moreh.
Amid ongoing protests against the deployment of state police and commandos in the area, these people are said to be involved in theft and looting.
The incident took place around 9 am on October 22 when the Special Commando Unit was patrolling on foot around Moreh Town. After investigation, the arrested persons identified themselves as follows:
Khamkhenthang Guite, 25, son of Paochinlen Guite, Namphalong Sawbua II, hails from Myanmar.

Aung Mae, 30 years old, son of Mae Aao, resident of Tamu Sawbua X, Myanmar.
Aung Aung, 25, son of Uoo Mao Mao, belongs to Tamu Sawbua XI, Myanmar.
The men are suspected of stealing furniture items and electric generators from houses that were tragically burnt down during the recent clashes in the region.
They have been handed over to Moreh police station for further investigation.
