In Moreh town curfew relaxation cancelled by Manipur govt

Imphal: The relaxation of daily curfew has been cancelled in the India-Myanmar border town of Moreh in the conflict-hit northeastern state of Manipur.

The decision to cancel the relaxation of daily curfew in Manipur’s Moreh was taken by the Tengnoupal district administration.
An order by Tengnoupal District Magistrate (DM) Krishan Kumar said the daily curfew relaxation was “cancelled with immediate effect”.

The relaxation of curfew in Mora in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district was canceled following “possibility of public gathering”.
Earlier, curfew was relaxed from 6 am to 5 pm daily in Manipur’s Moreh to facilitate access of essential items including medicine and food to common people.

However, relaxation of curfew will be in effect from 6 am to 5 pm in other parts of Manipur’s Tengnoupal district.
