In Mizoram Easter celebrated with Zeal and Zest

Aizawl: Easter, which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ, was celebrated with fervor in the Christian-majority state of Mizoram on Sunday.

Special prayers and worship services were organized by churches of different denominations during which sermons were delivered.
“May this Easter bring you new hope, new faith and new beginnings. Happy Easter Sunday. Hallelujah, He is risen,” tweeted Chief Minister Zoramthanga.
Processions were also taken out with hymns in towns and villages.
Congregational singing or ‘Zaikhawm’, an integral part of the Easter celebrations, was organized by churches in the North-Eastern state.
