In Meitei village video of mutilated bodies surfaces on internet

Kakching: A shocking video has emerged from Manipur, showing disturbing scenes of mutilated bodies in a Meitei village. Initial reports suggest that the video is from between June 18 and 19, during which Kuki militants allegedly brutally attacked houses in Serou Sugnu area of ​​Kakching District.
The horrific incident comes after previous violence in Thoubal district and has now spread to Kakching district.
Earlier, intermittent firing broke out on the midnight of June 18 when miscreants resorted to unprovoked firing from Kanto Sabal towards Chingmang village, sources said, resulting in the injury of an army personnel.

Army columns controlled the retaliatory fire keeping in mind the presence of villagers in the area.
One military personnel was injured by bullet and was immediately evacuated to Military Hospital Leimakhong. His condition is said to be stable.
Earlier on June 19, Manipur CM N Biren Singh had appealed to the Meiteis with weapons not to attack and maintain peace so that peace can be restored in the hill state.
“I appeal to Meitei people who are armed not to attack anything and maintain peace and harmony so that we can return to normalcy in the state of Manipur,” Brain Singh said while talking to the media.
