In Manipur a Kuki man's body being set on fire, video goes viral
Imphal: Another horrific video of brutality has emerged from the conflict-hit northeastern state of Manipur.
A video has gone viral on social media platforms showing the body of a ‘Kuki’ being burnt in a trench.
According to Manipur police officials, the video appears to be from the month of May, when communal clashes between Kukis and Meiteis were at their peak in the state.
The video, tagged as ‘Kuki’, was widely shared on social media platforms including WhatsApp on Sunday (Oct 08).
The video shows a man, in a black T-shirt and camouflage pants, lying in a trench.
The face is red and the body is being set on fire.
However, it is not yet clear whether the man was burnt alive, as claimed.
Sharing the video on X, India Block said: “This is from Manipur! Kuki tribal youth was burnt alive in Manipur. The incident of death is very sad and shameful. Modi ji condoles the neighboring country but failed to save Manipur.
