Nagaland: The Naga Club building in the heart of Kohima city was vandalized and damaged by unknown miscreants on the morning of May 27.

The Naga Club building housed the offices of the Naga Students Federation (NSF), the apex organization of Naga students and youth, as well as various stores and a printing press, as well as the offices of the Kohima Press Club and All Nagaland College Students Union.

Police have recovered a variety of tools, including knives used by the miscreants and sharp materials used to vandalize the workplace, and investigations are ongoing.
NSF President Kegwayhun Tep told reporters here, “We were protecting and protecting the Naga Club building as a heritage of the Naga people, but it is very unfortunate that miscreants not only damaged the building but also It is suspected that Naga historical records have also been destroyed,” NSF president Kegwayhun Tep told reporters here.

Earlier, on May 25, a student leader was allegedly killed by a suspected drug dealer in Nagaland’s Mon district.
The victim has been identified as Ahoa Konyak, chairman of the Tizit Area Students Union (TASU) Action Committee of the district.

Police, confirming the report, said that the accused, identified as Mansion Konyak, had been set ablaze by a mob.
