Kohima: The Nagaland Police on July 5 seized 200 rounds of banned ammunition from a policeman in Kohima who was going to Dimapur in a taxi with the ammunition.
Acting on specific information, a patrol team of Kezocha Police Station, monitoring the mobile vehicle check point, intercepted a taxi and seized prohibited ammunition. After that, Phek police arrested another police official in this connection.
Accordingly, a case under the Arms Act and other relevant provisions of the IPC has been registered at Kezocha Police Station.
Further, a thorough investigation is being conducted to fully ascertain the motives behind the transportation of illegal ammunition.
