In Khowai another 16 years girl old gang-raped, three arrested

Agartala: A 16-year-old girl was gang-raped on the night of Lakshmi Puja (October 28) in Khowai district. However, the police acted quickly after the complaint and arrested three persons who are allegedly the main accused in the case.
Speaking on the matter, SDPO Teliamura Prasun Kanti Tripura said, “On the night of Lakshmi Puja (October 28), the victim along with three friends (a woman and two men) went out to attend Lakshmi Puja in the area. went. He had to go to some houses.”
As they approached an isolated village road to reach a friend’s house, one Khitish Debbarma stopped them and scolded them. Debbarma threatened her friends to leave her alone. Sensing trouble, her friends disappeared from the scene. Taking advantage of the situation, the victim was abducted on the spot, the SDPO added.
According to the police, the victim was taken to a secluded place near the forest where the accused and her friends forced the minor.
The SDPO told media persons that two friends of the accused, Ajay Debbarma and Subikash Debbarma, were also involved in the crime.
The girl returned home on Sunday morning and narrated her ordeal to her parents.
After the complaint, the police took action and arrested the three accused. A specific case was registered under Section 376 A, D of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
