
In Karbi Anglong, Assam-Meghalaya border two houses set on fire
Karbi Anglog: Tension escalated near the Assam-Meghalaya border as unidentified miscreants deliberately set fire to two houses.
The affected residences, owned by Rukasen Teron and Nicholas Timung, were engulfed in flames.
Sources reveal that the perpetrators behind this act belonged to Khasi community.
The incident, which took place on August 24, has resulted in not only destruction of property but also disruption of farming activities and tree planting in the Tapat area near the border.
It has been alleged that more than 200 people from Lapangap village in Meghalaya, allegedly belonging to the Khasi community, were involved in the burning of houses.
