Itanagr: In an unfortunate fire incident, a fire accident took place near the RKM Hospital Complex in Ganga Itanagar in which four of the SPT barracks were completely gutted.
Additionally, five houses of the Arunachal Police Reserve Battalion in the capital were burnt to ashes and 1 barrack and 1 extended OBT house were also partially damaged in the fire.
Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso also visited the spot to update the incident.
DC Capital Itanagar Sachin Rana, IAS informed that the district administration has processed the immediate relief as per the state government policy and it will be credited to the house owner’s account through PFMS mode.
Earlier in October 2022, more than 700 shops were burnt to ashes after a massive fire broke out in Naharlagun area of Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
According to sources, the fire engulfed only 2 shops in the first 2 hours, but the fire department failed to control the fire and spread.
