In Imphal west police arrested 3 active members of UNLF

Imphal: Security forces today conducted a search operation in the fringes and vulnerable areas of Kakching, Churachandpur and Thoubal districts.
During the operations, two arms and an Indian-made hand grenade were recovered from Kakching district.
Imphal West District Police also arrested three active members of UNLF organization who were involved in extortion activities.

A pistol with a magazine loaded with 8 rounds, 7 mobile phones and a white nomad without registration number were recovered from his possession in Manipur.
According to a Manipur Police press note issued on Wednesday evening, the situation in the state was tense but under control during the last 24 hours.
A total of 132 checkpoints/checkpoints were set up in various districts of Manipur, both hill and valley and the police detained 1641 persons for violations in different districts of the state.

It also said that movement of 343 vehicles along NH-37 and 195 vehicles with essential items along NH-2 has been ensured.
