In Imphal west miscreants opened fire on public, two injured

Imphal West: Sources said that unidentified miscreants allegedly opened fire at a chicken shop in Thangmeiband Polem Leikaii in Imphal West, injuring two persons.
According to sources, the incident took place on Friday at around 5.40 pm at a chicken shop called ‘Fresh Chicken Centre’.
The injured have been identified as Potshangbam Sanaton (37), son of P Lokendro, Keishamthong Top Leirak, Imphal West and Amabas Yadav, 48, son of late Raghunath Yadav of Bihar, currently residing in a rented house at Thingmiband Polem Leikai, Imphal West.
It is said that Sanaton works in a private bank and had come to collect money from the shop while Amabas was in front of the shop to buy chicken.
The owner of the shop told the media that while he was busy giving money to Sanaton, he heard a gunshot and when he went out of the shop, the two were found lying on the ground. The owner said he did not see where the miscreants came from.
The injured were immediately shifted to RIMS Hospital. The hospital administration says that the condition of the injured is out of danger.
