In Imphal West fresh firing incident, 2 reportedly injured

Manipur: According to sources, a fresh incident of violence broke out in Manipur’s Imphal West district on the morning of August 3 when heavy firing was reported from both sides.
Sources further said that firing took place at Senjam Chirang under Imphal West district around 5 am today and the firing is still going on.
According to a reliable source, two persons, one a village defense security force official and the other a Manipur police official, were reportedly injured during the gunfight.
Meanwhile, the situation in Manipur remains tense as sporadic firing, arson incidents have been reported from the suburbs of the violence-hit state.
