In Imphal west a woman allegedly shot dead outside school
Imphal: A woman was allegedly shot dead by miscreants outside a school in Imphal West on July 6, just a day after schools reopened in Manipur, sources said.
According to sources, the incident took place outside Shishu Nishtha Niketan School in Imphal West.
Schools across Manipur were closed for the past two months since communal violence broke out on May 3, 2023.
The situation in Manipur remains dire, with incidents of violence, arson and vandalism being reported on a daily basis.
