Imphal: The Manipur government has relaxed curfew for 12 hours from 5 am to 5 pm on Wednesday in both Imphal East and Imphal West districts.
An official notification issued on June 6 said that curfew has been relaxed in two valley districts so that common people can buy essential items including food items and medicines.
It added that all persons related to essential services such as health, PHED, municipal authorities, electricity personnel, media personnel and working of courts will be exempted from further imposition of curfew.
However, the ban on internet services across the state continued till June 10.
Meanwhile, another 500 BSF personnel landed in Imphal today as the security forces’ operation to control the area continues in villages on the outskirts of Imphal Valley following militant attacks.
