Imphal: An S/S Sergeant Major of the Manipur Naga People’s Front (MNPF) who was allegedly involved in the 13 November 2021 Sehken Ghat ambush was arrested by a joint team of 4th Assam Rifles and Special Commando Unit, Khabeisoi.
Notably, on November 13, 2021, five AR jawans, including a commanding officer, his wife and a minor son, were killed in an ambush at S. Sehken village, Singhat sub-division, Churachandpur district.
MNPF S/S Sergeant Major Momo Jamir (36) S/o late Bendang Tushi Chingmeirong East was arrested by a joint team during a search and checking exercise at Yaingangpokpi Tata Magic Parking at around 3.30pm today.
He allegedly revealed that he was involved in several attacks on central security forces, including the S Sehken ambush. Momo Jamir has been handed over to Superintendent, NIA Imphal Branch.
