In Imphal a BSF personnel succumbed to injury amid violence

Imphal: A BSF 122 battalion personnel succumbed to his injuries at the RIMS hospital in Imphal on Monday midnight after being shot by Kuki militants on May 28.

The deceased is 32-year-old Narendra Kumar, son of Kirorimal of Lalawas Bhiwani, Haryana.
He was shot in the head by Kuki militants on May 28 around 10 am near the office of Meitei Council Moreh in Tengnoupal district. Two other BSF personnel were also injured in the incident.

It may be noted that Narendra Kumar was posted from Tripura to Moreh in view of the current conflict. His body has been taken to his hometown after post-mortem at RIMS mortuary.
