Guwahati: In a shocking incident, some unknown miscreants threatened Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through posters.
The posters, found near the Ganesh temple in Aggyathuri area of Kamrup district, earlier belonged to Jalukbari constituency and is now part of Hajo, warned the chief minister and threatened him with dire consequences.
The posters, written in Assamese, carried a disturbing message, warning Himanta Biswa Sarma to stop actions detrimental to Assam or face death.
The threat follows a series of controversies between the chief minister and his wife, which have sparked much debate within the state.
