Guwahati: Amid ongoing fighting, unrest and violence between the Kuki and Meitei communities in Manipur, two Naga legislators held a meeting with six Kuki MLAs in Guwahati on June 21.
According to sources, a detailed meeting with all the MLAs including Naga and Kuki MLAs will be held in New Delhi next week to further clarify the next course of action.
However, sources close to the development did not reveal the agenda of the meeting, claiming it was too early to reveal.
Meanwhile, on May 20, eight of the nine signatories who wrote a memorandum claiming that Biren Singh had lost popular support joined a group of 30 BJP MLAs in New Delhi. including his son-in-law Rajkumar Imo Singh, who stood before the media. , a show of unity.
The nine signatories, who claimed that the state government led by Chief Minister N Biren Singh had lost public support, were all BJP MLAs from Manipur. Radheshyam Singh, Nishikant Singh Sapam, Kh. Raghumani Singh, S. Brojen Singh, T Robindro Singh, S. Rajen Singh, S. Kebi Devi, and Dr. Y. Radheshyam.
