
In Guwahati two dead bodies found during Durga Puja celebrations
Guwahati: As the state basked in the joy of Durga Puja, two bodies were recovered from different places in Guwahati. The body of an unknown person was found in a pool of blood in Hengerabari area.
The man, whose identity is still unknown, was an e-rickshaw driver. Locals believe that he was stabbed to death by unknown assailants. He was discovered near LP School by passers-by who informed the police.
Surprisingly, the entire incident was caught on camera in which a man allegedly walked towards the rickshaw puller with a sharp object in his hand and mercilessly stabbed him with the weapon.
According to the sources, the deceased has been identified as Khagen Das, while the accused has been identified as Tileshwar Das.
Dispur police has taken the body into custody for post-mortem and started investigation.
In a separate incident, another body was found near Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) in Lokhra area. A dead body was found under a transformer inside a fence in Bathoupuri.
The identity of this person is also unknown. Gorchuk police are investigating the matter.
