Guwahati: A 19-year-old girl was found dead inside the bathroom of a private ABC hostel under Bhangagarh police station in Guwahati on Monday.
The girl, identified as Tazmina Ahmed, a resident of Kokrajhar district in lower Assam, was found hanging in the bathroom of the hostel by her mother, who visited her on Monday.
The girl had come to Guwahati for NEET coaching about two months ago and was staying in a private hostel since then.
The police seized the body and registered a case of unnatural death based on preliminary investigation.
A police official said that the investigation into the incident is going on.
