Guwahati: In a bid to make the state drug-free, the Special Task Force (STF) Assam on Thursday arrested four drug peddlers from Khanapara in Guwahati.
The early morning operation yielded positive results and the STF recovered 119.5 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of Rs 2,000. 11,100.
The police team also recovered three mobile phones and various inflammatory materials.
Acting on a tip-off, the STF team reached under the Khanapara flyover where four persons, including a woman, were arrested along with the loot.
The arrested persons have been identified as Dhan Rabha, Ainul Shaikh, Ketep Bodo and Sunwani Begum.
STF Assam wrote to X, “STF Assam conducted a strong operation again this morning in Khanapara and arrested four drug peddlers with 119.5 grams of heroin, 3 mobiles, cash 11,100 and 86 other incriminating materials. Arrested with vials.”
