In Guwahati elderly woman, daughter gang-raped, four arrested

Guwahati: A group of eight assailants barged into the house of an elderly woman and gang-raped and assaulted her and her speechless daughter in Satgaon area of ​​Guwahati, Assam.

The incident, which took place on May 17 in Guwahati’s Satgaon area, was brought to public attention recently. Worryingly, the assailants went further and applied chilli powder on the private parts of both the victims.
According to reports, the 22-year-old woman’s daughter was staying with her mother in Taltala after her marriage ended.

The tragedy unfolded when Arun Pradhan, also known as Loote Pradhan, at the age of 55, tried to have a romantic relationship with the mother.
However, this relationship met with opposition from Pradhan’s family, which increased the tension between the two families.
According to reports, Arun Pradhan’s son Amit Pradhan along with seven accomplices forced his way into the victim’s house and carried out the heinous act.

To top off their cruelty, the assailants sprinkled chili powder on the private parts of both mother and daughter, leaving them in a state of shock and shock.
The incident came to light when concerned neighbors reported the crime to the Satgaon police station.

Police reached the spot and found the victims unconscious, they were immediately rushed to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for critical medical treatment.

An investigation is underway.
